“We inhabit the world with our senses as much as with our ideas. A space can soothe us, an object can move us, a light can transform a story. To create is to harmonize these quiet forces that pass through us in silence. My work lies in these in-between spaces—where emotion takes shape.”

“We inhabit the world with our senses as much as with our ideas. A space can soothe us, an object can move us, a light can transform a story. To create is to harmonize these quiet forces that pass through us in silence. My work lies in these in-between spaces—where emotion takes shape.”

Shaped by his childhood on Gorée Island in Senegal, Gaël grew up immersed in cultures where objects and stories carry a soul. This unique perspective informs his approach, centered on sensory, emotional, and sometimes magical interaction.

A graduate of ENSCI–Les Ateliers in 2001, he founded AtelierGH, a cross-disciplinary, sensitive, and innovative creative studio. Since then, he has cultivated a practice at the intersection of design, architecture, foresight, and contemporary art—tirelessly exploring the relationship between form, function, and emotion.

From 2007 to 2012, Gaël led creative direction at the byVolta agency, where he designed experiences and installations for international brands. Between 2012 and 2015, he opened his studio/gallery to artists-in-residence, transforming AtelierGH into a laboratory for research and expression, integrated into the itinerary of Némo, the International Biennial of Digital Arts. These years deepened his commitment to experimentation and research, while sharpening his ability to navigate diverse cultural and institutional contexts in France and abroad.

From 2021 to 2025, he co-founded Noppi Édition Paris, a self-publishing furniture brand exploring the frontier between design and modular intimacy. Selected for the 2023 Future On Stage program by Maison&Objet and featured at Paris Design Week Factory, this venture continues to enrich his reflections on the dissemination of distinctive objects and their relationship to the market. In 2022, he completed the HEC Challenge+ program, strengthening his expertise in strategic and entrepreneurial challenges.

Over the years, Gaël has collaborated with luxury houses such as Vacheron Constantin, Moët & Chandon, Devialet, Yves Saint Laurent, Chanel, and Breguet, as well as with museums, international forums, and institutions like Société du Grand Paris and RATP, for whom he conducts forward-thinking studies and leads innovative projects. His work has earned multiple awards for design and innovation—including the Janus du Commerce, Écran d’Or, Label Observeur du Design, and Décibel d’Or—recognizing both his interactive installations and speculative research.

Today, he supports his clients from strategic framing to implementation—through spatial storytelling, immersive installations, event or permanent scenographies, and foresight studies. His method combines sensitivity, intuition, and precision, backed by a network of trusted collaborators built over time.

Each project opens up a field of possibilities, drawing on imagination and craft. As a creative consultant, I help drive this dynamic—transforming ideas and contexts into singular experiences. If you’re interested in exploring a project or idea, I’d be delighted to discuss it with you.
