    Fnac & Ratp

    During an around the world trip, Gaël Hiétin creates ART&FACT and, in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, conducts two prospective studies based on digital media.

    During an around the world trip, Gaël Hiétin creates ART&FACT and, in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, conducts two prospective studies based on digital media.
    One for Fnac on the theme “Cultural mobility”.
    The other for the Ratp on the theme of “Urban sewing”.

    ART&FACT combines art and design as a means of developing a conceptual narration based on issues (present or future) on a multimedia ergonomic, simple and fun medium.

    ART&FACT focuses on providing a decrypting and creative perspective on new trends in remote areas through an analytical, conceptual and artistic approach.

    Each study is organized in the form of a multimedia travel book incorporating textual, visual and sound analyzes. These analyzes are first and fore most the result of a “geo-artistic” journey. Later, the findings are articulated in a conceptual narrative developed by a multidisciplinary creative team. This narrative is based on three levels:

    01. The territories of influence
    Panorama of snapshots, the “Territories of Influence” are the raw testimony of the curious gaze of the finding artist. As he scrambles, notebook of materials becomes available. Gleaned images, sense of immediacy, intuitions and listening to possible become the scripts of mobile mind in search of stories that do not yet exist.

    02. The emergence of signs
    By interpreting and reframing the “Territories of Influence”, the“Emergence of Signs” focuses our attention on remarkable elements. Taking a step back, immersing yourself in the problem, illuminates points of view and reveals meaning and content.

    03. The field of possibilities
    After the discovery of the soil and the choice of species, the “Field ofPossibility” operates germinations. Through the transfer, conceptual development and projection of the selected “Emergencies”, this last stage defines promising concepts and their applications to the field under study.

    The process of conceptual development of this project, from the“exploration” of the world to the textual and schematic articulation of the selected tracks, is a succession of choices among all possible paths : In journey, the journey makes the destination.

    However, the paths that remain untouched by a thorough exploration are not dead ends. Also, ART&FACT gives you the opportunity to see, listen, feel the whole journey so that, from the territories of influences to the field of possibilities, you can also take part in this journey and, why not, generate new directions of research. Each part of the DVD is meant to be a fertile ground for ideas, which invites us to come out to combine them, to confront them…

    In no case are the bridges between the tracks (particularly those of the Champ des Possibles) cut off. On the contrary, it is a subject shaped according to certain conceptual wishes that we invite you to take ownership, so that you in turn draw the possible maps of your own creative mobilities.
