Commissioned by Publicis Live, ateliergh designs a scenography that brings sound, light and space into resonance for the World Economic Forum’s conference rooms in Davos. Sonorama explores the idea of an architecture attuned to the rhythm of conversation, where light accompanies speech and creates an atmosphere conducive to attention and dialogue.

Translucent polycarbonate panels, integrated into a modular aluminium structure, diffuse light through their surfaces. Their ribbed texture reveals gradients and shimmering light that lend depth to the space. Combined with recycled PET felt elements, these surfaces form an envelope where luminous clarity and acoustic softness complement one another.

Conceived as a gentle rhythm of breathing, the lighting accompanies each stage of the gathering: welcoming the audience, presentations, discussions and moments of silence. Gradual shifts in intensity and colour transform the atmosphere, while modulation responsive to the surrounding soundscape extends the exchanges into the space. The scenography becomes a living, understated presence that supports attentive listening.

Designed to accommodate different room configurations, the system combines modularity, acoustic comfort and reusable components. The illuminated surfaces can carry graphic treatments that are refreshed across successive editions, making Sonorama an adaptable design attentive to both use and resources.
