Crossing space, defying time: the RM 43-01 FERRARI scenography explores the beauty of movement.
Designed in response to a call for projects and created in collaboration with Shortcut Events, this scenographic project showcases the latest watchmaking creation born from the collaboration between Richard Mille and Ferrari.
The project is set within the Palais de Tokyo, a major contemporary art venue in Paris.
In this raw environment, with its concrete walls and exposed structures, the exhibition engages in dialogue with the site’s industrial aesthetic, blending radicality, innovation, and formal freedom. The scenographic concept is based on the architectural extrusion of a cross-section of the RM 43-01 case.
Transformed into a monumental partition structuring the space, this shape, intersected by luminous red lines, evokes speed captured in space.
A simple and powerful gesture where spatial movement and the flow of time reflect each other. The experience unfolds in four sequences:
-
The entrance, designed as an immersive chicane, initiates the dive into the Richard Mille universe.
-
The gallery retraces key moments of the partnership between Richard Mille and Ferrari.
-
The Ferrari garage displays iconic models, suspended on car lifts, turning automotive engineering into mechanical sculptures.
-
The RM area presents the watch’s creation process through four stages: inspiration, design, assembly, and revelation.
Cross-cutting elements — yellow floor markings, suspended light structures, and a red and black palette — ensure the graphic coherence of the entire project and extend the technical and graphic aesthetic of the two models presented.
The scenography offers an immersive and sensory experience, where mechanical excellence, watchmaking precision, and the beauty of movement converge in a space of contemporary freedom.
