The Louvre’s first Grand Dinner set a new standard for artistic galas, masterfully orchestrated by Shortcut Events, who entrusted ateliergh with the scenographic design of this exceptional journey through the world’s most iconic museum.
Imagined as a three-act dramaturgy, the project transformed three landmark spaces: the Richelieu passage, conceived as an immersive threshold with a geometric light installation guiding guests into the heart of the museum; the majestic Cour Marly, where Anne-Sophie Pic’s dinner resonated with the surrounding sculptures in a luminous dialogue between gastronomy and heritage; and finally, the Glass Pyramid, reimagined as a contemporary stage for the after-show, energized by bold light structures and an electrifying atmosphere. The scenography was designed to reveal the beauty of each space, create fluid transitions, and inscribe every moment of the gala within a cohesive aesthetic and emotional narrative.
Beyond its artistic ambition, the event – echoing the exhibition Louvre Couture: Decorative Arts and Fashion Objects – contributed to the success of a fundraising evening that raised €1.4 million in support of the museum’s restoration and educational programs. A first edition where organizational excellence and creative audacity combined to write a new chapter in the Louvre’s history of grand galas.
